Microsoft xCloud To Launch With Over 150 Games Via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

KEY POINTS

  • The launch of Microsoft’s xCloud streaming service will see over 150 games playable for members of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
  • The playable titles will include “Fallout 76,” “Batman: Arkham Knight,” “Resident Evil 7 Biohazard,” and “No Man’s Sky”
  • Mobile gamers can also download the Xbox Game Pass app from the Google Play Store or the Samsung Galaxy Store but not for the App Store on iOS devices

Beginning on Sept. 15, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will be able to play over 150 games courtesy of Microsoft xCloud.

Among the titles available at the launch of the cloud gaming service will be “Nier: Automata,” “Gears of War 5,” ”The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,” and several others. “Minecraft Dungeon” will also be getting fully optimized touch controls for cloud gaming, Polygon reports.

This holiday season will also see titles from EA Play join Xbox Game Pass’ mobile cloud support.

Mobile gamers can also download the Xbox Game Pass app from the Google Play Store or the Samsung Galaxy Store. Unfortunately, that will not be the case for the App Store on iOS devices. Apple may have adjusted some of its rules to technically open up cloud-based gaming options, it has actually created more complications.

Microsoft issued a statement saying the policies create “a bad experience for customers.”

The xCloud launch through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate was first announced this past July. Membership for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is $14.99 a month.
